Applications for the homes for 2008 are closed and families have been chosen.
The application process for the 2009 build will become available in late summer of 2008.
Owning a home with Habitat for Humanity is a life-changing event and does not happen quickly. The application process will take a few months with the closing date for the house at least a year from the time of application.
Criteria for Selection:
1. Need for housing. Applicant must have a need for housing and be unable to obtain conventional financing due to limited income.
2. Ability to pay. Applicant must have enough income to repay the Habitat mortgage and monthly living expenses, and must have an acceptable credit history.

3. Willingness to Partner. The family must exhibit a willingness to partner with Habitat, which includes volunteering a minimum of 300 hours with Habitat.
4. Residency. Applicants must be legal residents of the United States and have lived in Franklin County at least one year immediately prior to selection.
